Dear Friend,
Sometimes I ask my clients and audiences seemingly “dumb” questions, like;
Do you want more energy?
Do you want to be more confident?
Do you want to feel happier?
I ask these questions to demonstrate most of us want the same things, then proceed to share how to get them.
Below I offer how to get more energy, confidence and happiness by using myself as a guinea pig, sharing a Spartan Race I recently completed where I used all the principles mentioned.

How To get What You Want
Unlimited energy
Food is the only place physical energy comes from.
When I want energy I go straight to the source, great food.
Training for my race I made sure I ate great carbs the night before workouts/race = Potatoes, beans, vegetables, fruit.
How much energy does your body need?
1500-2000 cals per day, depending on age, height, weight, sex, activity level…
I eat 1800 calories/day
What- Plants- greens, beans, starches. Animal- grass fed wild, no hormone/antibiotics

Confidence
Know what you want.
Me- I want to train for and complete a Spartan Race.
Why do you want it?
Me- I want to challenge my body (be healthier), be an inspirational role model for my kids, share the experience with my audience/clients.
Gain confidence by knowing exactly what you want and why.
P. S. I didn’t win, though my girlfriend said I would have had I not stopped steps from the finish line to chat with her. This adorable girl was taking pics and I told her mom, “It’s ok, let her stay.”
Happiness
Know what you want.
Me- I want to be my best self physically and mentally by challenging my body and mind. Training for a race helps me do that.
Why do you want it?
Me- The purpose of my life is to be my best self so I can serve my children, family, friends, clients, audience.
The way I am my best self is by fueling my body.
When you are authentic and sincere, who are you?
Me- I am caring, loving, friendly, interested, helpful, and so on.
The better you know who you are, what you want, and why, the less someone can talk you our of it by making you doubt yourself.
