This Can Motivate You To Exercise

I use the secrets below to compete in Spartan Races, and fit into my pants :-)

Dear Friend,

When I asked one of my life coaching clients what she thought about during exercise, she said, “Bills, making the kids lunches, returning emails for work, or scrolling news and social media.”

Me: “You know, when you’re exercising your body is releasing powerful feel good chemicals, like serotonin, as well as painkillers, human growth hormone, testosterone, and cancer killing T cells.”

Client: “Wow!”

Me: “So while your body is releasing these beneficial chemicals, it makes sense to think about what you want to bring into your life. That way you’ll condition yourself to want to exercise.”

Client: “Now I know what to think about during my next workout.”

It Works

I’ve been using this strategy for almost 30 years, directing my mind during exercise towards what I want.

It’s how I lost 60 pounds, got on QVC, built my businesses, and nurtured my relationships with the people that I love, and got myself to exercise consistently for 3 decades.

Otherwise, while my body is releasing these powerful chemicals, if I’m thinking negative thoughts, I will condition myself to hate exercise. No wonder it’s so hard for many of us to get motivated to exercise.

Takeaway

Depending on what you’re thinking, you may conditioning yourself not to exercise.

Make sense?

Use the resources below to motivate you to exercise.
