My Favorite Breakfast May Surprise You
Hi Friend,
Who said a healthy breakfast had to be traditional. And, speaking of traditional, do we always have to eat breakfast to be healthy? I have met people who eat only once per day and are healthier than I am. The point is, I try not to be influenced by what marketers and companies tell us to eat, (should we really be drinking orange juice (pure sugar) for breakfast, or are we better off eating the orange?
I’d rather look at what the healthiest people in the world eat, and follow their lead. Some eat breakfast, some don’t. But what they all have in common is they eat mostly seasonal plant based foods, (however, most are not vegan) in simple forms, and they eat fermented foods (dark chocolate is fermented- YEA!!! :-).
I slow down the absorption of sugar in the dark chocolate (it’s lower than milk chocolate) with the fiber from the fresh berries.
My guidelines:
Choose organic berries (conventional berries have high levels of pesticide residues)
Choose organic dark chocolate with 70% cacao or more (typically, the more cacao, the less sugar and greater health benefit)
Eat in moderation. (I eat 1/4 of the chocolate bar and a handful of berries for breakfast) eating a whole bar and cups of berries would be too much sugar and cancel the health benefit, in my opinion

What Companies are Saying about Peter’s programs, During Covid 19 Pandemic
"Our company reached out to Peter as a means to support our employees’ well-being during this period of extended social distancing. The initial 6 week virtual program was so well received we spoke with Peter about continuing his engagement with us for an additional 4 weeks. Peter is knowledgeable and has a genuine interest and desire to connect with his audience and share practical advice on exercise, nutrition, mindset and accountability. He sought out ideas and feedback to help tailor our sessions to the needs of our employees, bringing in other subject matter experts when needed to compliment his knowledge. He can be a critical component of a company’s corporate wellness program and I would highly recommend Peter for your company or on a personal level if you are looking to make an impact on your own well-being or those you care about.”
Stacey Schneider, Office Manager , MedPro Systems
“Peter helped our firm create a customized virtual wellness program. He prepared informative weekly emails and videos to send out along with the weekly live sessions. He provided interactive and entertaining sessions focused on nutrition, exercise and stress management. Peter is passionate about health and wellness and it shows in his ability to host a wide array of topics with enthusiasm and a wealth of knowledge. This was our first successful virtual wellness program and we look forward to Peter offering more sessions in the future.”

Help Your self/Employees Be Healthy
Virtual Well-Being Programs
with Peter Kofitsas
I created virtual health programs to help people who have tried to lose weight and be healthier, but struggled on their own. I was one of them when I was 65 pounds overweight. Some of the strategies employees learn from my programs that can change their lives are simple; like how to choose healthier lunches and night time snacks, and how to exercise for a few minutes a day to tone up and look good. They also learn powerful psychological strategies; like mindful eating, emotional triggers, and stress reduction; some of the reasons 95% of diets and exercises fail.
If you’re a manager or owner and have employees you care about and want to help, let’s work together to help them and their families be healthier, while navigating through this stressful time. Now, more than ever, we will benefit from strengthening our immune system, managing our stress, and living our lives to the best of our abilities. All that is possible, even during a pandemic. My clients and patients are living proof of that.
Let’s talk about how to help you, your family and/or your employees/coworkers/organization be the best they can be, especially during this uncertain time. Concerned about your budget? Some of my clients have been reimbursed by their insurance carrier.
Let’s talk about doing something great today!
All my best,
