This recipe is so simple, it shouldn't taste this good, but it does. In about 5 minutes you'll have a delicious, healthy dish, plus have time to make a bracing Gin Gimlet while you wait :-). Watch as I share tips on buying fish and alcohol while the salmon caramelizes.

Pan Seared, Chili Glazed Salmon, & Gin Gimlet Recipe

What you’ll need

Salmon

  • Salmon filet (I prefer wild, skin on)

  • Sweet chili glaze (I often use Kikkoman Sweet Chili Sauce)

  • Olive oil, extra virgin

Gin Gimlet

  • Gin (I use organic) about 2 oz

  • Lemon juice, fresh, 2 lemons

  • Agave, squirt

  • Ice

to prepare

Salmon

  1. Pre-heat oven to 500 degree F

  2. Add oil to pan and get it hot on a burner.

  3. Add the salmon filet flesh side down. Cook for 1 minute on each side.

  4. Drizzle generously with chili glaze.

  5. Blast in the oven for 5-6 minutes, or until done

  6. Enjoy

Gin Gimlet

  1. Add gin, lemon juice, agave, ice, shake, pour, enjoy!
